Tis the season for fun at Palmilla Beach, and you won’t want to miss out on any of the fabulous happenings at Palmilla, on the beach, or in town. So here’s your round-up of exciting events!

TARPON FUN RUN

On Saturday, June 4th @ 9:30 Palmilla and the Farley Boat Works Organization present the 5K Tarpon Fun Run on the Palmilla Golf course! Sign up for this family fun event for a 5K run or a 2K walk, There is even a special event for the little ones called the Mullet Run. Register and get your race bib, T shirt, and swag! This is an awesome way to make memories with your family and friends in the summer sunshine. You can wind up at our 19th hole – REDS Patio Bar to refresh and relax!

THE 9TH ANNUAL SUMMER CONCERT SERIES AT PALM PLAZA

Palmilla’s legendary Summer Concert Series is back with a few exciting changes. This year our music, cocktails and food will all be theme related from the 1970’s through to the 1990’s! We have partnered with Vida Caña Rum to create specialty cocktails and REDS Patio Bar and The Black Marlin will be preparing tasty food treats too. This is an opportunity to remember your good times and create new ones with family and friends! So, get ready for summer nights on the Grand Lawn with our nostalgic bands.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

The Concert Series kicks off on Saturday, May 2nd with Texas’ own Passing Strangers playing their nostalgic 80’s themed music. Famous for playing covers of new age hits like Dream Weaver, and songs by The Cure and The Cars, Passing Strangers will entertain and bring back a decade of memories. It’s an interactive event so there will be a dance floor so you dance like its 1985! And don’t forget to get out your scrunchies, parachute pants, and shoulder pads to dress the part. Enjoy themed food, drinks and other happenings from REDS Patio Bar and The Black Marlin too. Rock on!

4TH OF JULY WEEKEND

On America’s birthday, the summer concert series will have 90’s Country music by Straight Tequila Night. Saturday, July 2nd from 7-10 pm, dress up in your Red, White, & Blue acid washed denim and grungy plaid flannel shirts and do the Macarena or the Electric Slide! Once again Palmilla is partnering with Vida Caña Rum to create specialty themed cocktails to remind us all of the rockin’ 90s!

LABOR DAY WEEKEND

For our final concert of the summer, on Saturday September 2nd, we present the 1970’s with the music of Groove Knight to bring back or make your best ever memories! Get out your tie-dyed shirts and frayed bell bottoms ‘cause we are saying farewell to summer with this groovy and far out event! Maybe you want to demonstrate the Funky Chicken or The Bump to your kids? Here’s your chance to hustle or disco the night away. From the period of Bundt Cake and Tom Collins’, who knows what our culinary team will surprise you with? Eat, drink, dance, listen to the music, and have a blast at our final concert of the Summer.

LIVE MUSIC AT REDS

There’s always fun happenings and music playing all through the summer at REDS Patio Bar too. Check the schedule because REDS has live music from many of our favorite musicians throughout the Summer!

GUEST SERVICES

Palmilla’s Guest Services team are always organizing something fun… all summer long enjoy making S’mores at Cottage Park, lounge at the pool for Dive-In Movie Nights, stretchhhhh during Yoga, or learn to ride the waves with our Beach Surfing Lessons. There is even Coloring Chalk events and free popsicles for kids at the pool. When you arrive at Palmilla, check in with Guest Services for the latest activity schedule.

THE FUN HAPPENINGS CONTINUE ACROSS PORT ARANSAS

Guided Wetland Walks every Tuesday and Thursday @ 9 a.m. 45-minute walk, limited to 15 participants. 855 East Cotter Avenue, presented by the UT Texas Marine Science Institute. Check it out here.

June 6th to July 1st- UT Summer Science Program at the Marine Science Institute, 75 Channel View Drive. For kids in grades 3 to 8, a program to introduce them to the fun of STEAM studies. $100 per week 8 am to noon, Mon. to Fri. Click for info.

June 10th-11th The YTAC 2022 Invitational Fishing Tournament @ Island Moorings Marina & Yacht Club. This event benefits the Thrivewell Cancer Foundation Visit their website for more information

June 16th-17th Women’s Annual Powder Puff Fishing Tournament @ Fishermen’s Warf 900 Tarpon Street
